Origin and Background of TMTS

The TMTS (Taiwan International Machine Tool Show) is a professional international event organized by the Taiwan Machine Tool & Accessory Builders' Association (TMBA). Celebrating its ninth edition in 2026, the show returns to the heart of Taiwan’s machine tool industry cluster—Taichung. This exhibition serves not only as a showcase of Taiwan’s technical prowess in machine tools but also as a premier platform for global buyers to source high-end machinery and smart manufacturing solutions.

Exhibition Highlights

  •
  • ◆ "Front Store, Back Factory" Model: With the venue located in Taichung, adjacent to major industrial clusters, buyers can easily visit nearby factories for on-site inspections after viewing the equipment at the show, thereby accelerating the decision-making process.
  •
  • ◆ Ecosystem Integration: For the first time, the show adopts an "Ecosystem" exhibition model, moving beyond individual equipment displays to emphasize deep connections with industries such as aerospace, semiconductors, new energy, and robotics.

Theme: AI-Powered Sustainable Manufacturing

The 2026 theme focuses on two core transformations:

  •
  • ◆ DX (Digital Transformation): Integrating AI-driven production, digital twins, and AIoT predictive maintenance to demonstrate how artificial intelligence optimizes machining efficiency.
  •
  • ◆ GX (Green Transformation): Emphasizing energy management, low-carbon supply chains, and sustainable product design to address global Net Zero emissions requirements.
